Proteum shows OXE Diesel Kreta for Superyacht tenders at Seawork

Proteum is exhibiting the OXE Diesel Kreta for the first time at Seawork 2019. Kreta is the recently launched brand of the high performance diesel outboard aimed at the Superyacht tender market with the single fuel directive in mind. Kreta offers Superyacht users a safe, convenient and cost efficient alternative to petrol and is the only high performance outboard compliant with EPA Tier III, IMO Tier II emissions and safety standards.

`For Superyacht users volatile petrol is eliminated from tenders and they can use the same fuel as the mothership, while benefitting from diesel’s low cost of ownership and extended range of the tender boat. This reduces the frequency of refuelling, especially when petrol is not always readily available shore side`, said Neil Taylor, Head of Sales for Proteum, the UK & Ireland distributor for OXE.

OXE Diesel Kreta’s low Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) over 5 years can average £100,000 less than a petrol equivalent and for most users its higher purchase price is recoverable after 700-1000 hours.  Proteum has launched a new Finance package* for commercial customers only, which means the operator benefits immediately from OXE’s lower ownership costs.

The OXE Diesel Kreta range comes with 125, 150, 175 and 200hp options to meet different customer specifications. 250hp and 300hp options are currently in development and due to be in production by early 2020.

Proteum is exhibiting OXE at Stand PO12 at Seawork International in Southampton, 11-13 June 2019.
