Our vessel Glad Tidings 5 required a new engine, the spec we chose was a similar specification to the engine that was currently installed (Gardener), the availability reports from other people about the how good the engines are was a considerable driver in our decision process.
The retro fit of the engine was successful, it was also the same gearbox very much a like for like with a few modifications that weren’t strenuous.
From our operators point of view we are pleased with the engine, better fuel efficiency considering it’s more powerful engine. The engine is quiet and more compact.
We are very pleased with the service and engineers that installed the engine, we are also recommending the engine and the service offered by Proteum.
