Conway, South Carolina based Glendinning Products, manufacturers of electronic engine controls systems have now added a side mount option to their programme.
Aimed at single engine sailboat applications (single or multi station) this new kit makes it easy to upgrade from traditional mechanical shift and throttle controls to a more modern and easier to use alternative.
John Glendinning (CEO) said “with most sailboat engines still fully mechanical, and no other controls manufacturer offering such a simply packaged upgrade solution, this new kit should open up a lot of new sales opportunities for our global distributor network”.
The stainless single lever control handle is available for port or starboard side mounting and is supplied with a simple key pad to activate “throttle only” mode and for multi station applications an “Additional Station Kit” is available which includes two keypads to mount at each helm position for station transfer.

To help ensure she continues her good work Proteum is supplying two new 6W126M propulsion engines and two new 4W105GEB generators engines from Moteurs Baudouin who is providing them at cost to JST. Proteum’s experienced field engineers will be completing the installation of the engines and will then be on hand to support them with ongoing servicing and maintenance.
