Four more OXE Marine 300hp diesel outboards for NorthStar Renewables

Proteum is excited to announce that they have supplied NorthStar Renewables with four additional OXE Marine 300hp diesel outboards. These engines will be installed on the fourth daughter craft, which is currently under construction at Alicat facilities in Great Yarmouth.

This brings the total number of OXE outboards delivered to NorthStar up to 13, with another six outboards set to be supplied in 2024.

Proteum is pleased to continue their partnership with NorthStar and is eagerly anticipating the naming ceremony of the latest daughter craft. All the vessels are named after outstanding women from the Northeast of England, including Grace Darling, Alison Kay, and Susan Auld.

Double naming ceremony at NorthStar

NorthStar names two of its vessels.

Alison Kay is powered by twin OXE 300hp diesel outboards supplied by Proteum. The workboat is named after a Newcastle woman who founded The People’s Kitchen in 1985 and changed the lives of thousands.

North Star has been supporting the Dogger Bank Wind Farm with long-term charters for the past 10 years, delivering green energy to homes in the UK.
